I came to start the ground school at the age of sixteen having absolutely no experience in aviation previously. I found the Pelican Online Ground School to be a very well designed course that allows users with no knowledge of aviation to gain it quickly and easily.

The ground school consists of very small step-by-step lessons in which at the end of each lesson the user takes a short examination. These exams include approximately 3-10 questions to prove and validate what you have just learnt on the previous lesson. In addition, throughout the course the user hits checkpoints, which are 10-30 question examinations. These revision exams check all the information learnt so far throughout the section you are currently studying. As you reach the end of a section you must complete a stage exam for the whole section studied and when the stage exam is complete, you can move on the next section until you have completed the whole course.

I found the ground school a great system to use to get me into aviation. The lessons are full of information that is presented in an easy-to-digest manner. The ground school is a very fast and effective system to study the knowledge portion for the Private Pilot certification.
